Cry for Recognition

A Belgian organisation that addresses gender dysphoria from the perspective of detransitioners, parents and clinicians who doubt the gender-affirmative pathway as a standard protocol. Trilingual website (NL/FR/EN), based in Flanders.

Mission and core values

The organisation advocates for evidence-based information about gender dysphoria and opposes affirmative therapy as the sole treatment option. Central values: respect and equality, freedom of expression, acceptance of gay, lesbian and bisexual young people as they are, and recognition of sex as binary and immutable. Distance from any form of stigmatisation.

Target audiences

Young people questioning themselves.

Detransitioners — those who have stopped or reversed a transition.

Parents of gender-dysphoric children.

Citizens who push back on what the organisation calls "gender ideology".
