TransTeens Sorge Berechtigt

TransTeens Sorge berechtigt, abbreviated TTSB, is a German advocacy group for parents of teenagers and young adults with questions about gender. The group says it opposes the unnecessary medicalization of these young people. The name roughly means: trans teens, the concern is justified.

What You Can Find

At its core, the German-language site is a regularly updated blog, with an archive going back to 2019. It publishes summaries of studies, statistics, media reports, and commentary on German guidelines and politics. There are also sections on rapid-onset gender dysphoria, parents’ questions, translated parents’ stories, and detransition, as well as a search index.

Why It Is Included on This List

The site is an extensive German-language collection of criticism of gender-affirming care and also writes about the Dutch Protocol and the Cass Review. Its selection and interpretation are one-sided, and its positions are controversial; it is an advocacy group, not a neutral source.

Positions

TTSB disputes that medical transition is medically necessary for minors and opposes an approach in which only affirmation of gender identity is offered. The group advocates for evidence-based treatment protocols and for parents’ rights in medical decision-making. Much attention is devoted to the risks of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries. The German S2k guideline published in March 2025 is criticized because, according to the group, it continues the affirming approach without offering full alternatives. Germany’s self-identification law, the Selbstbestimmungsgesetz, is also discussed.

Network

The site works with like-minded organizations. Articles are also regularly published by Genspect, and the group cites overviews from the Society for Evidence-Based Gender Medicine. Part of the blog is devoted to PITT-DE, the German branch of Parents with Inconvenient Truths about Trans. TTSB organizes public events with the Frauenheldinnen association. Some of the texts have been translated into English.

Recent Posts

At the beginning of October 2026, the site wrote about ten myths of pediatric gender medicine and figures on gender-affirming surgeries in Germany. In September, the topics included medical harm and political developments in Germany. The site also follows legal cases concerning gender treatments and policy in other countries.

How to Use and Assess This Source

TTSB is useful as an entry point to German-language material that can be difficult to find elsewhere. Read its study summaries alongside the studies themselves, because the group selects and interprets material from its own perspective. One example of German research described on the site concerns the stability of the diagnosis of gender dysphoria in German insurance data. German policy is covered under gender care in Germany and, in a broader context, under policy by country.
