What is Transgendercheck.nl?

Transgendercheck.nl hosts the Transcheck: a free online questionnaire with 50 yes/no questions that helps distinguish between long-lasting, stable gender doubt and signals that usually point to something else — trauma, autism, depression, social influence, or the normal identity searching of puberty. The questionnaire is also available on Genderinfo.nl/transcheck, but gets more room for explanation, background and result interpretation on its own domain.

How does it work?

• Score is calculated immediately based on a fixed weighting per question
• Result plus life advice appears immediately on screen

The six possible outcomes

The score sorts visitors into six scenarios, each with its own life advice:

• This has been with you for a long time (score -99 to 0) — early childhood, stable picture
• Stable picture (1–10) — nothing strange, part of growing up
• Unclear picture (11–20) — doubts, but no clear direction
• Other things are at play (21–30) — gender label on something else
• Many signals at once (31–40) — comorbidity, social influence
• Strong warning signals (41+) — multiple risk factors at once, referral to 113

Substantive background

The questionnaire is built around the patterns that emerge from developmental psychology research, the Cass Review (UK, 2024) and the experiences of detransitioners: early onset versus late onset, social-media influence (ROGD), comorbidity with autism, depression and eating disorders, and the role of fetishistic arousal in later onset in boys. The score is a guideline, not a scientifically validated instrument — and is not presented as such.

What the check does not do

No diagnosis. No referral. No sales pitch for treatment, support or subscription. No storage of personal data. The result is an honest mirror — what the visitor does with it is up to the visitor.
