What is Gendersekte.nl?
Gendersekte.nl applies academic cult-studies research to the contemporary gender movement. The core question: what happens when you apply frameworks developed to analyse cults — the thinking of Lifton (1961), Hassan, Singer and Langone — to organised structures within the gender sector? Which patterns fit, which do not?
What is on it?
The site offers four theoretical cornerstones:
- Robert Jay Lifton (1961) — 'eight criteria for thought reform' from his study on Chinese brainwashing;
- Steven Hassan — BITE model (Behavior, Information, Thought, Emotional control);
- Margaret Singer — 'six conditions of thought reform';
- Michael Langone (ICSA) — research frameworks on cults and cult-like groups.
Subsequently, the site offers twelve analysis criteria, twelve case studies, eight organisation descriptions and four comparative analyses. Topics range from governance structure and funding sources to language prescriptions, in-group/out-group rhetoric, and the treatment of apostates.
